The CM of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendra Patel, has announced a plan to construct a Yatri Bhavan in Ayodhya (guest house) for travelers in Ayodhya, a city of great religious significance for many people. To support people visiting the city, the Gujarat Government’s Tourism Department plans to construct the Yatri Bhavan, a place for pilgrims to stay. Dilip Kumar V Lakhi and his family, renowned diamond merchants from Surat, donated 101 kg of gold worth 68 crores to the temple. The temple committee has decided to use this substantial donation to enhance the temple’s doors, sanctum sanctorum, Trishul, damaru, and pillars, adding to the temple’s divine aura and architectural grandeur.
Morari Bapu, a spiritual guru who profoundly believes in his faith, donated a total of Rs 11.3 crore towards the construction of a temple. His influence extended beyond India’s borders, as supporters from the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom contributed an additional Rs 8 crore towards the project. This global support showcases the project’s importance to people from around the world.
Prominent figure Govindbhai Dholakia of Sri Ramkrishna Exports, from Gujarat, donated generously by contributing Rs 11 crore to this cause. The business community’s commitment to this cause is reflected in this donation. Similarly, Patna Mahavir Mandir Trust contributed 10 crores, emphasizing the religious community’s involvement in bringing the vision of the Ram Mandir to life.
Various individuals and companies have generously contributed to the project. Swiss Glascoat Equipments’ Mahesh Kabutarwala and the Ambani family donated Rs 5 crore and Rs 2.51 crore, respectively, while Lavji Badshah of Matrushri Kankuba Foundation donated Rs 1 crore. The project also received contributions from diverse communities, including a Muslim businessman from Chennai, WS Habeeb, who donated Rs 1 lakh. These contributions demonstrate the widespread support from various sectors and highlight the inclusive spirit of the project.
Several business leaders, including Dilip Shanghvi of Sun Pharmaceuticals, Rajiv Singh of DLF Limited, Rajesh Mehra of Jaquar Group, Rajendra Agarwal of Shankara Building Products, Rajesh Adani of Adani Wilmar, and others, came together to offer significant support to the construction project. Each of them donated Rs 5 crore. This united effort from the corporate world showcased their commitment to this historic endeavor.
